The Alinister of Justice (the Hon. C. J. Parr) has received Tenresentations" from Auckland, including local members of Parliament, protesting against the sentence imposed on Roland Blair, of the Auckland Telegraph Office, in reference to the totalisator betting prosecution. Telegrams protesting against the sentence on Blair, a telegraphist, for laying . “tote” odds, have been forwarded to the Alinister of Justice by Alessrs. Savage. Bartrain, Lee, and Parry, Labour M.P.’s.
