RAILWAY SERVICE
NEGOTIATIONS WITH MINISTER Tho discussions between the Minister of Railways (the Hon J. G. Coates) and the executive of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants with reference to the wages aoid conditions of employment in tho railway service were resinned yesterday. The negotiations are to be continued to-day. It is understood that any matters on which tho parties are unable to agree will be referred to a Wages Board, the constitution of which has been pressed for by the A.S.R.S. very strongly. Iho A.S.ILS. members are asking for an increase of 2s. 6d. per day in the daily rate of pay..
