CRUSHED UNDER WHEEL OF MOTOR-LORRY By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, February 8. A fatal accident occurred at Mangere this afternoon. Tho victim, Thelma" May Portersfield, 5 years and 4 months of age, fell under a heavily laden motor lorry and was crushed to death. The child was returning from school, accompanied by her sister (aged 8). The latter climbed on. the lorry as it was passing, attempting to pull her sister up, hut deceased slipped and fell beneath the wheel.
