On Saturday evening a motor-car driven by Frederick William Richards, an Auckland commercial traveller, collided with a motor-cycle and side-car. Peggy Mercer, aged 18,, who was in the side-car, sustained bruises and shock, necessitating hospital treatment." Both machines were badly damaged.
