THE ADVANCE OF CHIROPRACTIC.
Ono of the greatest revelations of the healing art js the wonderful result obtained through chiropractic upon the ills to which humanity is subject. Remarkable results have been achieved from chiropractic adjustments in all parts of the world, and particularly in the United States of America, where its popularity is being justified by the number of people who are deriving benefit where other, recognised methods of cure have failed. It is significant that more than one-half of the States have now provided protective legislation, and that the number of peo-ple who are relying solely upon chiropractic adjustments for benefiting their health is increasing rapidly. The growth of chiropractic in California is one proof of the efficacy of this modern method of combating disease. In November, 1919, a Bill for the recognition of chiropractic was voted upon by the people of that State and was defeated by about 60,060 votes. Three years later 1 the same Bill was again voted upon, and it was approved on that occasion by a majority of. over 100,000 votes, thus proving that m the short space of three years over 160,000 people had been convinced that chiropractic was a most efficient method of ridding humanity of its ills. The Palmer School of Chiropractic is the largest institution of its kind in the world and its growth from a mere handful of students in 1909 to .1300 last year is a clear proof that chiropractic .is forging ahead by sheer force of merit, and that it is gaining the confidence of thousands of people. Mr. Henry Otterholt, Wellington’s pioneer chiropractor, of the firm of Messrs. Otterholt, Bryce, and Wratt, Chiropractors, 101 Willis Street, recently returned to ■Wellington after a world tour extending over twelve months. In the course of” his travels, he visited many chiropractors in different parts cf the world, and he was much impressed with the progress be-ng made in the profession on all sides. While in Davenport. lowa, U.S.A., he attended a course at the Palmer School —the Chiropractic Fountainhead —and in Chicago he also took a special Xray course with the Victor X-ray Corporation, the largest and most up-to-date X-ray manufacturers in the world. This course, together with the experience gained by the use of X-rays in connection with his business, has conYinood Mr. Otterholt more than ever that X-rays are a positive necessity to a chiropractor in order that correct and exact work may be done. The experience gained by Mr. Otterholt in his recent tour has given the firm of Otterholt, Bryco, and Wratt the advantage of the very latest chiropractic and X-ray knowledge, which they are now using in their practice.—(Published by arrangement.) ‘
