Completing a moderate round trin of 415 days to Niue Island the Scales barquontine Ysabel (Captain A. G. Taylor) returned to Auckland on Tuesday afternoon. The vessel left Auckland on December 4. find cleared land two days later. She experienced light easterly winds all the way. and arrived at. ths island on December 23. One hundred and forty-one tons of copra- were loaded at Alofi in the record time of three and a half days. Nearing Aloft on December 26 the vessel encountered the tail end of a cyclone. At 2 a.m. on December 28 she was hove-to. and.for two. hours was shipping heavy seas fore and aft. The weather moderated towards the morning and light north-east winds were carried to Cape Brett, which was picked up on Sunday night. The Union Oo.’s Moeraki is due at Bluff at 5 P.m. to-da;z from Melbourne. She should sail from there this evening for Dunedin and should leave Dunedin on Sv for Lvttelton and Wellington. The Moeraki is expected here on V ednesdav morning next, and should get away later in the day for Melbourne direct. TURAKINA SAILS TO-DAY. The New Zealand Shipping Co.’s cargo steamer Turakina arrived at Wellington at 745 o’clock yesterday morning, after having- been delayed 22 hours by bad weather on the trip n™ from Lvttejton. The vessel was hove-to off Cane Campbell, and afterwards cruised off the heads. She is completing her lading, and will sail from Wellington at noon to-day for London, via Panama. MISCELLANEOUS. The departure of the Hain Line steamer Trefnsis for Melbourne and Svdney from Dunedin was again delaved on Tuesday. On Monday her departure was delayed owln&to the heavy rain interfering with discharging operations, and she completed unloading on Tuesday morning..
