SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION
The monthly meeting of the Sunday School Union was held on Thursday evening. The president, Mr. H. D. Giocott, was in the chair, and 17 delegates were present. The president gave a heart;,’ welcome to Mr. John Reid, 8.A., lately of Dunedin, and to Miss F. Johnson, who has returned from a visit to California. Mr. G. A. Trcup and Miss Vida Johnson, of Kaipororo, were appointed as delegates to the World’s Sunday School Convention to be held in Glasgow next June, votes of thanks were passed to Mr. A. H. Reed', of Dunedin, and to the Brooklyn Baptist School for Christmas gifts for the extension schools. On the motion of the president, seconded by Mr. W. G. Holdsworth, it was resolved to amend the constitution so as to provide for a representative of the Young People’s Committees of the denominations connected with the union having a seat on the committee. The officers, together with the representatives of the denominational bodies to bo an advisory council to advise the committee in any matter referred to it. Jt was decided to ask schools to indicate on the annual return’s whether Bible class members were included in the returns, or whether a separate register was kept for them.
