THE RADIUM APPEAL
Sir, —This appeal is now in its third week. How it is progressing we should like to learn. But do those who are making it realise the handicap laid on it by the absence of instructions? After the first day, not once during the ensuing week was any name or address given to which subscriptions should be sent, though every day some reference paragraph, or article on the subject has appeared. During the second week thiS-Continued silence was broken once 1 think. Those of us who are used to the frequent appeals in the “Spectatfor” could point out that never does one appear without full instructions attached at each repetition, however often inserted. It seems a pity to have this extra hindrance when promptness is so urgently desired. May I offer yet another suggestion? Would it help if shilling collections could be started? Only, of course, in addition to existing lists, and to reach a still wider public. —I am, etc., A COUNTRY SUBSCRIBER.
