TWO SUDDEN DEATHS
THE CORONER’S FINDING. An inouest touching the sudden death of Samuel Lawlor on the evening of Friday last, was held yesterday, before tho Coroner (Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.). Dr. H. W. Bigeon said that the case looked like one of euromia, and there were .symptoms of heart trouble as well. Dr. C. AL Hector thought that the cause of death was angina pectoris, probably aggravated chronic disease of the kidneys. Tne Coroner returned a verdict that Lawlor died from angina ptetoris. An inouirv into the sudden death of Richard Douglas Benge in Manners Street on Saturday, was also held yesterday bv Mr. Riddell. William Tierham. a waterside worker, said that he had seen deceased stagger and 1 fall on the footpath near Sing On Tie’s shoo in Manners Street. When a doctor arrived ho Pronounced life extinct. Dr. Corkill. who was called to the scene, stated that he was of opinion that death was due to cardiac failure, and that tho injuries to deceased’s head were due to the fall. The verdict was that deceased died from cardiac failure.
