ABERDEEN-ANGUS BULL CALVES FOR NEW ZEALAND

Messrs. Reith and Anderson, live stock agents, Aberdeen, have selected for shipment to New Zealand three very promising Aberdeen-Angus hull calves from the herds of His Majesty the King, Abergeldio Mains; Mr- Alex. Sandison, Aboyne; and Air. John M’G. Petrie, Alains of Asleid, says the “Glasgow Herald.” They are to the order of Mr. William Clark, Gpou, New Zealand, who has taken over the Opou property on which the Aber-deen-Angus herd of his father, Mr. John Clark, was Kept. Mr. John Clark, in company with Air. A. Anderson, jun., visited a number of the Aberdeen-Angus herds, and met several breeders in the north, who were very pleased to hear the splendid accounts he had to give of former shipments of Aberdeen-Angus cattle sent him by Alessrs- Reith and Anderson. He mentioned the case of a bull from Mr. Petrie’s herd included in a shipment sent out 14 years ago, this hull being still in use, and reported to be as active and vigorous as ever—a tribute to the longevity and the inherent constitutional vigour ,of the Aberdeen-Angus breed, for which Mr. Clark has very high praise. The bull selected from the royal herd was Gwyka, calved in February, and a son of the Georgina cow Gwen by Proud George of Aberlour. Hi* sire was Erovant of Kinermony. a first prize-winper at the Royal Northern Show at Aberdeen. The buh acquired from Mr. Sandison is a Biackfriar of Aboyne, a December calf by Evclum of Ballindalloch, a son of Elorus of Ballindalloch, and out of the Blackbird darn Aloyness Blackbird l.'Y Ebonist of Ballindalloch. The third bull is Boleros, from the herd of Air. John AI‘G. Petrie. Ho is by Earl Taurus of Ballindalloch, a second prize-winner at tho Highland, and out of Black Eyes of Garvault. a Blackbird of Corskie by Elimiotis of Btllindulloeli. It will thus bo seen that tho three bulls are exceptionally well bred. STOCK SALES Messrs.
