MURDER OF A BANK MANAGER
EVIDENCE AT INQUEST (Rec. November 27, 1.5 am.) Melbourne, November 26. An inquest into the death of Mr Berriman, manager of the Commercial Bank at Hawthorne, who was shot, has commenced. Angus Murray and Leslie Taylor, charged respectively with murder and being! an accessory, were present in custody. Mr. Pernman’s dying depositions were read. It was stated that Murray, who was present at tho bedside when the depositions were taken, said at the station that when Air. Berriman was shot be was with tho man who shot l.im, but did not himself (ire. —Press Assn.
