BEAUTIFUL WORKS OF ART FOUND Cairo, November 25. A special correspondent at Luxor savs that between the first and second shrines of Tutankhamen’s tomb. Mr. Howard Carter has found a number of beautiful symbolical alabaster and calcite vases mounted in silver and gold ; roval staves, a mace, a sceptre, and a golden bow; and an enormous linen pall. decorated with innumerable golden rosettes. They are all most beautiful works of art. The interior of the .outer shrine is completely gilt, and is covered with numerous religious texts. On the front of the second shrine is a freize bearing a great winged solar disc: and on the panels of the door are representations of Tutankhamen worshipping before Isis. The scenes aro depicted in incised relief. overlaid with gold, of the finest workmanship.—Svdnev “Sun” Cable. (Rec. November 26, 8.35 p.m.) London, November 26.

The “Morning Post’s” ’ Luxor correspondent says Mr. Carter continued his investigations in the outer shrine and mortuary chapel and found a small shrine with Tutankhamen in a Godlike capacity, preparing to exterminate the set who form the chief rival of Osiris.
