NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION

COUNCIL’S ANNUAL REPORT.

The «following is the report which the council of tho New Zealand Golf Association will submit to the annual meeting of delegates, to be held at AVanganui on September 25:— “The council has pleasure in submitting the annual statement of accounts for tho year ended July 31, 1923. The revenue account shows a loss for the year of £l7 4s. Bd. It will again be seen that the present revenue is not sufficient to allow of the customary grant to the club holding the championship and for any extra prize money. There remains to the credit of the accumulated fund (accrued. principally from the suspension of fall ■ activities, during the _ war) a •sum of £177 ss. 9d. It is obvious the council must have more revenue if this fund is not to be gradually depleted. Since the date of the last report nine clubs have joined the association (including five elected since the close of the financial year under review), and four clubs have resigned during the year, making a total membership at August 13, 1923, of 96.”
