MORTGAGEE INDEMNITY
ACCIDENT POLICIES Mr. W. H. Field, member for Otaki, has given notice. in tho House of Representatives, to ask the Primo Minister if he will introduce legislation next session, to abolish mortgagee indemnity accident policies as being a needless tax on mortgagors. Although many thousands a year are collected by accident insurance companies by way of premiums on these policies. there has, says Mr. Field, never been a single claim, and Government lending departments and many other mortgagees make a practice of granting loans without putting mortgagors to this unnecessary expense.
