POWERS
The Finance Bill, which was circulated yesterday morning, gives special authority for any local authority to expend out of its general fund, either before or after the passing of the Bill, any sums of money on the preparation of or otherwise in connection with exhibits for inclusion in the New Zealand section of the British Empire Exhibition, to be held next year. Harbour boards are empowered to remit any charges for exhibits passing oyer their wharves, to or from the exhibition .
