TYPHOON IN CHINA
DESTRUCTION OF SHIPPING GREAT LOSS OF LIFE FEARED BY TILEGBAFH.—PSESS ASSOCIATION. —OOPTBIOHT. Pekin, August 20. Reports from Macao state that during the typhoon the Netherlands Harbour dredger capsized and only two of the crew were saved. The harbour works were considerably damaged. The Portuguese armed steam launch Al.mirante Hugo foundered. One of the crew of fifteen was saved A number of Chinese launches and junks were sunk or are missing. Some of the passengers were picked up. It is feared that a considerable number are missing.—Reuter.
