INTER-COLLEGE DEBATE

ST. PATRICK’S V. ST. BEDE’S. This evening the inter-college debate between St. Patrick’s College and St. Bede’s, Christchurch, will take place in the study hall of St. Patrick’s College. The last meeting of the two schools took pla<e at Christchurch in 1921, and on that occasion St. Bede’s won both the debating and oratory trophies. T. Taylor (leader), J. Gaynor, ana W. 'Ainsworth will represent the college. The judges are Dr. Marsden. Assilant-Director of Education, and Mr. G. Craig. Comptroller of Q' st< ?nis. The competition in oratory will tax place after the debate. This con 2 p^ t '‘ tion is arranged on the lines of the PJunket medal competition. J. Conor and T.
