She is due at Wellington on Friday morning to load, and will Kail next Sunday morning for Lyttetton to comnlete sailing on June 20 for London. The Port Kembla arrived at New Plymouth at 8 a.m. yesterday from Bluff, to comnlete the discharge of her Home cargo. She was unable to berth until yesterday aftrnoon. however, because another liner occupied the only available bortn. The vessel is then to load at Wanganui. Timaru. Lyttelton, Napier, and finally Wellington. She should leave here on Julv 7 for London, via Las Palmas. Advice is to hand that the Comnionwealth and Dominion Line are building two now steamers for their New Zealand and Australian trades. The steamers will bo named the Port Brisbane and jne Port Wellington. Both vessels are similar in construction to the comnany s new steamers, the Port Hardy. Port Auckland. Port Campbell, and Port Hunter. The Port. Brisbane will be 480 ft. long, with 29ft. draught. She will bo 5150 tons net. and 8150 tons gross. The Federal Company report that the Middlesex is to leave Timaru today to load at Wanganui and Wellington. She is due here next Monday, and will later proceed to Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland to complete loading. THE AUSTRALIND. Tho Federal steamer Australiad, in command of Captain C. J. Mordant, arrived n.t. Auckland on Friday from Boston and New York. The vessel sailed from New York on April 29, and arrived at Oolon on Mav 9. She was detained at Balboa for two days for engine repairs, and dearel Panama on May 11. Fine weather was experienced, on tho voyage until June J. when a oevere south-westerly was encountered. There was a mountainou; sea running, which flooded tho vessels decks fore and aft. The following the vessel’s speed was reduced to about 4* knots. The gale lasted three days, and after that the weather was fine to port. Tho Australind’s cargo consists largely of ciSiße oil. motor-cars, wire, and general merchandise. About 15C0 tons will be di»> charaed at Auckland, and the remainder at, Wellington. Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. The exchanges on the oargo are: Canada. 4.76 dollars; United States. 4.65 dollars. She is to leave Auckland tomorrow. and will arrive here on Friday morning.

The Waverley is to leave Wellington to-day for Patea, and will . return on Thursday.

MOERAKI FROM MELBOURNE. The Union Company’s Mooraki arrived in the Wellington stream from Melbourne at 8.30 yesterday morning, and she berthed, at No. 6 Queen’s Wharf at about 11 o’clock. The Moeraki left Melbourne at 4.30 u.m. last Wednesday, and experienced light easterly winds, with smooth seas all the way across the Tasman Sea. The cargo comprised 600 cases of fruit, and 1631 tons of general cargo for all ports. A.bout 800 tona are for discharge at Wellington. The bulk of the fruit is for Dunedin. The vessel is timed, to leave here at five o’clock this evening for Melbourne. via Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. MARAMA FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company received a wiieleM message from the Marama yesterday intimatinr that she .expected to arrive in the Wellington stream from Sydney at 4 o’clock thia morning. She should berth at No. 1 Queen’s Wharf at eJiout 9.30 o’clock. The vessel has 183 passengers, and a quantity of general cargo for here. She is to return to Sydney at 11 a.m. on Friday. MATAKANA’S ITINERARY. The Shaw-Savill liner Matakana is to leave Napier to-morrow for Whakatane. and Wellington. Due here to complete loading on Sunday, the vessel will be dispatched on June 20 for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. MISCELLANEOUS The New Zealand Shipping Company’* ■ liner Rotorua wirelessed via the Chatham* yesterday that all was well. She left Wellington last Wednesday for Southampton. The Union Company's Waitemata. from Calcutta. Singapore, and Java, via Auckland. is due at WeHington to-day to discharge a portion of her cargo. She should sail to-morrow for Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge. The Baden Powell, which left Wellington % last evening for the West Ooastu should arrive back on Sunday. The Kurow is to leave Auckland tomorrow for Wellington and southern ports. She is expected here on Saturday. . The Holmdale should reach Wellington on Thursday from the south, and wiU sail later in the day for Wanganui. The Wingatui, from the south, is to load at WeUington on Friday for Auckland direct. The vessel will take up her running in the Nelson passenger service again, about June 23. The Union Company report that the Neahere is to leave Greymouth to-day for Wellington, laden with coal. The New Zealand Shipping Company report that the Tredennick left Lyttelton yesterday for Timaru and Dunediu to complete the discharge of the New Zealand portion of her American cargo.
