Despite China’s protest, Japan has dispatched four cruisers to reinforce the Japanese patrol on the Yangtze River, and announced her determination to defend the lives and property of her nationals in China. Japan will decline to enter into any negotiations with China over the boycott or the shooting incident until China settles the question of the boycott on Japanese ' goods.
