BONAR LAWS HEALTH INTENTION TO RETIRE DENIED London, April 15 The past week’s incidents in tho House of Commons, coupled with Mr. Bonar Law’s health, are inspiring widespread predictions of the imminence of Mr. Bonar Law’s retirement. GROUNDS FOR REPORTS London, April 15 “Despite official denial,” states the “Daily Telegraph’s” lobbyist, "unfortunately there are solid grounds for the reports that Mr. Bonar Law is seriously considering retirement when the favourable moment arrives. April 16, 7.35 p.m.) London, April 16. The “Daily Express” attributes the rumour in connection with Mr. Bonar Law’s’ resignation to a political plot. It is noteworthy that the "Observer’s” editor. Mr. Garvin, is a great friend of Lord Birkenhead, while Lord Riddell, the owner of the "News of the World,” is a friend of Mr. Lloyd George. Lord Riddell tips Lord Curzon, another sick man, to succeed Mr. Bonar Law, while Mr. Baldwin will be rewarded with the leadership of the House of Commons. The “Daily Express” adds: “Mri Chamberlain and his friends must understand that the Conservative Party will not readmit them to office unless they return as loyal Conservatives, not half-hearted Coalitionists.” —Aus.-N.Z.
