RUGBY FOOTBALL
PROJECTED TOUR OF NEW ZEALAND TEAM. (Rec. April-13, 8.35 p.m.) London, April 13 “Sporting Life,” featuring the projected tour of a New Zealand Rugby team, states: “A visit to England will be a matter of gratification. It will do a lot to clear the air of intrigues, and might lead to a conference of all Rugby-playing countries. It is common knowledge that the New Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland unions have frequently forwarded proposals which the English Union neither adopted nor seriously considered. Many complaints respecting the discourtesy in England have been received. Mr. Wray, the New Zealand representative on the Rugby Union, hopes to see a conference of the English, French, New Zealand. New South Wales, and Queensland unions.” —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
