The populK’ items, the pleasant surroundings. and tho cheery tone spelt a pleasant evening for Miss C. Remington's seafaring guests at the Sailors Friend Society on Thursday. The performers were: Misses Henderson. Remington. Janies. Caseby, and Messrs. Cocks, Duffy, O’Connor. Misses Henderson and Remiqgton were at the piano. Skill and fun were to the fore in the competitions. Prizes came from Messrs. .T. Paterson, Cocks, and Ednvnds. and went to the Port Caroline, Opawa, and Ruahine.
