SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION

The monthly meeting of the Sunday School Union was held last evening. Mr. Alex. Johnston was in the chair, and twenty-two delegates were present. It was decided to 'hold the annual scholars’ Scripture examination on July 7, and to ask last year’s examiners to again act. It was reported that the Teachers’ Convention. held at Masterton, had been very successful, and it was hoped that much benefit would bo derived by those who attended. A committee was set up to arrange for n series of teacher-train-ing classes tp be held during the winter. A lady who had served for 28 years as a teacher was granted the long-service diploma of the National Union. It was decided that a special meeting of superintendents and delegates be convened to discuss the best method of observing 1923 as “Childrfn’s Year.”
