RELIABILITY TRIAL. 7 . ( The two days’ ‘reliabilitv trial held on March 31 and Anril 1 bv the Wellington Motor Cycle Club (despite the wet weather) created much interest amongst the motor cyclists. The course was up to Wanganui, via Foxton, and then back to Palmerston North, Woodville, over the Kaitawa Hill, and through the Mangaono Valley to Eketahuna, Mnsterton, over the Rimutakas, and back to Wellington, a total distance of about 320 miles. The competitors started from the General Post Office in parties of two, at fiveminute intervals. The results are as follow:—

1. Bidwill-Barton cup. Rndge Whitworth gold medal, and Goodyear’s Tire Company’s trophy: B. Grouby (Harley Davidson and sidecar). 2. Gold medal and Dunlop Rubber Co.’s trophy: S. Barr (Harley Davidson). 3. Silver medal and Hone Gibbons’ trophy: L. Rankine (Indian). 4. Barnet Glass Rubber Co.’s trophv: H. Ridler (Triumph). 5. Cvcle and Motor Supplies’ trophy: H. Watson (Harley Davidson and sidecar). 6. Inglis Bros.’ trophy: A. Shackleton (Indian). 7. Healing and Co.’s trophy: F. Steward (Indian Snd sidecar). 8. Teagle Smith’s trophy: T. Wilkinson (Indian). 9. Hard-luck trophy, Teagle Smith: L. Southward (Thor). Certificates of merit for reliability and consistent running were gained •bv B. Grouby (Harley Davidson and sidecar), S.
