A wide range of illustrations is comprised in this week’s issue of the “New Zealand Sporting and Dramatic Review,” covering all that is interesting in up-to-date events. Particular prominence is given the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Meeting, at Ohristchurqji, which is represented in a comprehensive series of snapshots of the principal events in progress, also of patrons of the lawn The t Canterbury Jockey Club’s Carnival at Riccarton is also the subject of a fine set, showing the winners. The opening day of the Avondale Jockey Club’s Meeting is depicted in photographs of starts and finishes of the main events. Novel designs from English and American fashion houses are embodied in attractive displays, that 'will strike the feminine eye. Dainty pictures that will appeal to all are taken of the Onehunga Queen Carnival, with the Queens, Maids' of Honour and the Coronation Ceremony. Specially alluring are full page scenes from the big screen production, “Broadwav Rose,” while ths stage is represented in a fascinating series devoted to the “Peep Show.” In a miscellaneous selection aro photographs of the Late oLrd Carnarvon; Princess Mary’s baby; snapshots at the Rangitikei Racing Club’s annual meeting; Fielding Jockey’s Club officials; opening of the Hagley Golf Club’s links (Christchurch) : competitors in the Neiv Zealand draughts championship; tournament nt Hamilton ; Gisborne football teams. Racing enthusiasts will welcome a new free skill competition for £5O on the Great Northern Hurdle Race, to be run at Auckland on Juno 2.
