Statutory Meetings.

Tho statutory meeting of contributors for tho-election of trustees of the Wellington Convalescent Home was held in the New Zealand Employers’ Federation Board room yesterday afternoon. Tho chair was filled by Mrs. Moorhouse (president). The retiring trustees (Mrs. Joseph Joseph, Mrs. Walter Nathan, and Mrs. H. Kirkcaldie) were re-elected, and Mrs. Moorhouse was re-elected president. Tho statutory meeting of contributors for the election of trustees to the Wellington Ladies’ Christian Association was held in the same building yesterday. Mr. H. W. Kersley was in the chair. Tho retiring trustees' were Mrs. Anderson, the Rev. J. Paterson, and Mrs. von Dadelszen. In their place were elected Mrs. Neil McLean, Miss Archibald, and Mr. Davys. Air. Kersley was elected president. The statutory meeting of the Wellington Society for the Home for the Aged Needy was also held, and was presided over by Mr. G. Petherick. The retiring trustees (Mrs. Chapman and Mr. Kersley) were re-elected; Mr G. Petherick re-elected chairman, and Mrs. Johnston-Wright elected to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mrs. Boxall.

Tho monthly meeting of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of tho Wellington Boys’ Institute and S. A. Rhodes’s Home for Bovs was held at the Institute Building, Tasman Street, yesterday afternoon. Those present were:—Mesdames J. Hislop (president), in the chair, Stanton, Bell Hamilton, Niven, Wilson, Tomlinson, Christie, Aston, Robertson, Brownian. Troup, Moore, Cotion and Vine. Gifts from Mrs. Yuile, of Featherston (quinces), ’ and Mrs. Pinkerton, of Masterton (beetroot), were gratefully acknowledged. The matron’s, treasurer’s, and visiting committee’s reports were dealt with, and the following were elected the visiting committee for the ensuing month, viz:—Mesdame.s Hislop, Hamilton and Moore.
