The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated April 7, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — Meat. The market is affected by heavy supplies of cheap chilled beef. Best New Zealand lamb meets steady demand, but secondary descriptions are very slow owing to large quantities of Australian on hand.
