DISASTER FEARED By Telegraph.—press association, —copyright. Thursday Island, April 6. The Queensland Government steamer Douglas Mawson is five days overdue from Burketown. It. is feared that disaster has overtaken the vessel, which was of only 300 tons. It is thought that the steamer encountered a cyclone at the end of March, tbo force of which no vessel of her class could withstand. Ihe Navigation Department has sent tho Karumba in search. —Press Assn.
