Robert Alexander Donaldson, aged 40 years, who had dug up his mother’s hoard of sovereigns under an apple tree, appeared before Mr. Justice Adams for sentence. The Crown Prosecutor said £124 had been returned, and £l5 was missing. Prisoner seemed to think the money belonged to the family. Prisoner was admitted to probation for two years, provided he made restitution aiid took out a prohibition order.
