AUCTIONS. CLYDESDALES 40 GUARANTEES. Thomsons’ Wai-Rongoa CLYDESDALE STUD SALE. DUNEDIN, APRIL 20, 1923. AT this Sale, there will be offered a dhoice parcel of linebred mares, fillies and two-ypai-old entire colts. The following are the guarantees. There will also be offered a parcel of educated workers of both sexes by imported pedigree registered sires. 1. WE GUARANTEE that the pedigrees of the Sires, Dams, and Great Dams and G.-Sires are correct. 2. WE GUARANTEE that all pedigrees, numbers, line-breeding, volumes, prize-winnings are correct, as taken from the Stud Book and publications of the Clydesdale Stud Book of Scotland. S. WE GUARANTEE that should any purchaser find that he has, through excitement or other causes, outbidded himself—or, in other words, paid over what he considered the market value of any animal —he may cancel his purchase with the Auctioneer before She next animal enters for sale. 4. WE GUARANTEE that wo will offer a substantial profit (not necessarily for acceptance.) to purchasers should any nnimal not reach our expected figure. 5. WE GUARANTEE that two Govwnment vets, will be in attendance for consultation purposes (free charge) for the benefit of all purchasers. 6 WE GUARANTEE to finance any purchaser (with the approval of the Auctioneers' before but not during or after the Sale. 7. WE GUARANTEE that no animal has undergone any special treatment or preparation other than oiling, washing, cleaning, shoeing, and general education. 8. WE GUARANTEE that no animal since foalhood has been housed, rugged, or sheltered during our coldest or hottest seasons. 9. WE GUARANTEE till at should any untried" colt prove non-productive, and he is landed at Wai-Rongoa in good condition and free of blemish, 80 pee cent, of the purchase money will be refunded to the original purchaser (only if he is still the owner) 19. WE GUARANTEE that the Auctioneers'have been instructed—and they in turn have guaranteed—to accept genuine bids only. 15. WE GUARANTEE that the Auctioneers have accepted our stipulation that should any umnir tactics be introduced to encourage fictitious bids, all future business will cease. (The Auctioneers have also agreed to adhere to this condition.) 16. WE GUARANTEE that immediately the Auctioneer takas his place in the rostrum, the Clydesdales belong to the purchasing public. 17. WE GUARANTEE tihat there is absolutely no reserve whatever. 18. WE GUARANTEE that the Auctioneers will not accept any bids except that they are of the opinion that the bidder' is a bona-fide purchasar. 19. WE GUARANTEE that this is absolutely a Genuine Sale; at which the Clydesdales will be sold to tho highest bidder. 20. WE GUARANTEE that the Stud Clydesdales are registered in the N.Z. Society’s Stud Book. 21. WE GUARANTEE to hand over after every purchase of Stud Animals the Government vet.'s Certificate of Soundness. 22. Government vets, will not issue a certificate of soundness with yearlings, and to protect buyers with anything under two years, should any hereditary disease develop at six years of age or before, we are prepared to hand back 80 per cent, of the purchase money to the purchaser (only if he is still the owner). The animal must be landed at WaiRongoa in good condition and free of blemish other than tho hereditary malformation. 23. WE GUARANTEE that where,an imported dam appears at the top on the dam’s side of the pedigree that its progeny if mated to an imported registered sire, the offspring will be qualified for registration in any Clydesdale Stud Book in the world. 24. WE GUARANTEE that the name of the second last bidder will be announced by the Auctioneers on all occasions 25. AVE GUARANTEE that any purchaser is a t liberty to cancel his bid (immediately after tho fall of the hammer) should he imagine that the previous bid was not genuine. 26. WE GUARANTEE that the offered Clydesdales are descended from most prolific Dams and Sires. 27. AVE GUARANTEE to buy back (not neepssary for acceptance by the purchaser) any unborn foal of a mare that we may think desirable to add to our stud. The prices will be not more than 250 guineas and not less than 100 guineas, the foals to b« properly weaned, handled, entered into the N.Z. Society’s Stud Book, and to be delivered at Wai-Rongoa in good condition and free uf blemish. Under these conditions three weaned filly foals were purchased back at our last Sale at 100 guineas each; .whilst one purchaser refused our offer of 250 guineas. 28. AVe GUARANTEE that should, any mare not turn out to be effectively mated, the service fees will be refunded to the original purchaser (only if he is still the owner). The 20-guineas mating lee will bo refunded in the case of Scotland’s Victor; The 10-guincas mating fee will be refunded in the case of Brilliant'* Chief; The Id-guineas mating fee will be refunded in the case of Bonnie Fabric. 29. AVE GUARANTEE that the maria are mated to the sire® as stated in the Catalogue. 30. AVE GUARANTEE that all tried mares have been proved reproductive. 31. AVE GUARANTEE that all stallion* have been proved reproductive. 32. AVE GUARANTEE that at the time of the Sale every animal is free from vice or bad habits of any description. 33. AVE GUARANTEE that, notwithstanding very high tempting offers, no animal in the Catalogue has been or will be sold privately to anyone prior t® <»’■ during the Sale' 34. AVE GUARANTEE that should, any animal not be effectively mated and we are aware of it, we will announce the fact during the Sale 35. AVE GUARANTEE to keep, at our expense and responsibility, all animals to be shipped, until shipping is available. 36 AVE GUARANTEE to produce a N.Z. Clydesdale Society’s Certificate of. Transfer to each purchaser of any stud animal. 37. AVE GUARANTEE that no blistering. plucking, dressing, or bandaging has been resorted to. 38. AVE GUARANTEE to refund tho price of thd Catalogue to all purchasers of stud animals. 39. AVE GUARANTEE that all rges, educations, and last mating dates are correct. 40.
