Line steamer Port Caroline. arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from Wellington for Homeward loading. About a dozen cases of. brass condenser tubes weighing four tons four hundredweight, arrived at Wellington on Wednesday from Sydney by tile Ulimaroa, for the Canadian Cruiser, which is held up at Auckland for repairs to her condenser. The tubes were sent forward from Wellington by rail on Thursday, and the Canadian Cruiser is expected to have repairs completed in time to l<*axe Auckland on Monday or Tuesday next for New York. MAIMOA AT LONDON A cable message received yesterday br the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company reports that the Maimoa arrived at I»ondou on April 5 from Napier, via New York and Boston. Line from the Port Auditland, en route from (New York, stated that the vessel will arrive at Auckland to-morrow. have been notified by cable that, the Orari arived at Sydney on March 31 from Melbourne tn put out Liverpool cargo. The Ilororata arrived at Sydney on April 3 from Brisbane to unload New York cargo. THE TUTANEKAI. The Government steamer Tutanekai left Blu early yesterday morning for Wellington, via West Coast sunds and Westport. She should reach, here towards the end of text week. THE ANCHOR BOATS. The Kaitoa is due at Wellington tomorrow with a load of export, fruit from Motueka. She will sail on'Monday for Nelson. The, vessel will then make a trip to Wanganui from Nelsc-i with sheep. When she returns to Nelson asain she will take over the Nikau’s running in the Nelson passenger service, leaving Nelsou on her initial trip on Thursday next. Meanwhile the Nikau is to lie up for her annual overhaul at Nelson. The Waverley is to leave Wellington today for Patea. The Regulus is due at Wellington on Tuesday for Nelson. She is to sail later ia. the day for Nelson, Westport Greymouth with part cargo for each port. DANGER TO SHIPPING. The Kaimanawa, bound from Westport to Wellington, yesterday reported to the Marine Department that a large tree trunk had been sighted in 173 min. 7sec. east, and 40min. 27sec. south. As the object is in the track of vessels trading between Westport and Wellington mariners are requested to maintain a sharp lookout. NEW VESSEL FOR WELLINGTONPATEA TRADE. A new steamer has been placed on order oy F. W. Grainger, manager of the South Taranaki Shinning Comnany. with the Coastal Construction Company, of Montrose. Scotland, for the PateaWellington coastal trade. The new boat will be 110 ft. in length, with a 22ft. beam, will be driven by engines, and fitted with electric winches for handling cargo. The name has not yet been decided, but the contract provides for delivery of the vessel on August 31 next. MISCELLANEOUS. The Corinna is due at Wellington tomorrow from New Plymouth and Nelson, ana will sail on Monday for Dunedin direct. The Corinna will subsequently load at Oamaru. Timaru and Lyttelton for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. A projected departure for to-day li the Ripple for Akitio, Napier, and Gisborne. She will take general cargo for those ports and Wairoa. The Union Company’s collier_ Waipori arrived at Wellington last evening laden with coal from Greymouth. She will discharge a portion at Wellington, and a portion at Miramar. The Wanaka is due at Wellington today from the south. She is to sail to-day for Auckland. The Storm is now loading at Dunedin. From there she will proceed via Oamaru. Timaru, and Lyttelton to Wellington and Wanganui. The vessel should arrive here on Wednesday. Both the Komata and the Ngahere are at present undergoing survey at Wellington. The auxiliary scow Kohi should reach Wellington on Monday with a load of timber from Havelock. This vessel will return the following day to Picton. Nelson, and neighbouring bays with general cargo. The Ngakutn. is expected to clear Westport to-day for Wellington. The Wakatu sailed from Wellington last evening for Kaikoura and Lyttelton. She is due back on Tuesday to load for a return trip.
