WELLINGTON LADIES’ ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the Wellington -Ladies’ Hockev Association was held last night.. There was a good, attendance of delegates. Air. E. C. Griffin presided. _ , — , The Karori and Eastbourne Hockey Clubs were affiliated to- the association. Karori colours are black and white and Eastbourne colours are green and vellow. _ „ , " The chairman asked all players to turn out. for their matches in their proper colours, in order to obviate any ■jossibilitv of confusion , and lighten considerably the difficulties of the reThe wnnual report and balance-sheet-were adopted. The balance-shpet showed a credit balance of £2 17s. lOd 4 suggestion was made that the winners of 'the junior grade shouK’ graduate to senior. Air. Cathie, of the Beferoes’ Association, pointed out thatgirls showed a deplorable ignorance of the new rules, and he advised them to mnke it their business to learn all the rules. Play could never be improved unless this- matter was attended to. and the chances of junior girls teams nualifying as seniors were negligible. No action was taken. Thc Referees’ Association was granted -permission to appoint a delegate to the association’s committee to act in an advisory capacity.
