ALLEGED FALSE PRETENCES
When a well-dressed, middle-aged man who answered the name of Joseph Percival Moroom stopped into the dock in the Magistrate’s Court on Thursday on a charge of having obtained £2 7s. from Charles Arthur Harrison by means of a valueless cheque at Pahiatua, Sub Inspector Cummings stated that a remand until Wednesday next would be necessary as a number of other charges of a similar kind wore pending. Mr. 0. C.
