HOCKEY
SCHOOLS ASSOCIATION FORMED. The annual meeting of the Wellington Hockey Association was helrl on Monday evening. Mr. AV. G. Morpeth in the chair, with a full complement of delegates. Notice of motion by the Wakatu Club to alter rule II to allow all clubs' representation on the Management Committee was lost by 8 votes to 11. Tho following officers wore elected: President, Dr. H. C. Faulke; vicepresidents. Mqssrs. M. Luckie, B. H. G. Burn. W. T. Richards; vice-presi-dent to New Zealand Hockey Associatian, Mr. AV. Organ; delegates to New Zealand Hoekey Association, Messrs. George Strack and Len Butcher; secretary, Mr. Len Butcher; auditor. Mr. A. R. Tarr; treasurer, Mr. AV. G. Morpeth: management committee, Messrs. Burton (AVeslev), Cousins (University), Martin (Detone), Atkinson (Hutt). Toward (AVakatu), Fildes (Y.M.C.A.), Thompson (United). Whithair (Karori), McKenzie (United), Norelham (Referees’ Association). The formation of the. Wellington Schools’ Hockey Sub-Association was approved. Mr. Kirk (secretary of same) attended and gave details of fihe scheme. Eulogistic remarks were mode in favour of Mr. Kean and Air. Kirk (Hnt.nitai School), the movers of the scheme. It was recommended that a sole selector for each grade be appointed. April 21 was recommended as the opening of the season, entries to close with tho secretary at. 1 p.m. on April 12. A six-n-s:de tournament was recommended to be held on June 3. A vote of thanks was passed to last year’s officers, especially the chairman nnd secretary. A mooting of tho now Management Committee was hold Inter, when Mr. McKenzie was elected chairman Air. Rm-Fen assistant secretary and Air. Fildes recording secretary.
