VIGOROUS POLICY OF DEVELOPMENT ■ By TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. -COPYRIGHT. Melbourne, March 27. - Senator Pearce, Minister for Home and Territories, has. announced that tho Commonwealth is inaugurating a vigorous developmental policy in the Northern 'Territory, which will include improved communication by road and rail, adequate water supplies on stock routes, and subsidising shipping. He proposes to gazette a consolidated •lands ordinance for the Territory, which will be divided into four, dis* tricts. New leases of 45 years will be made available for agricultural purposes. —Press Assn.
