DROWNED IN LAGOON

BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Carterton, March 27. A. young man, aged 18 years, named Boy Smith, employed by R, T. Parsons, Tawaha, was drowned in tho lagoon on Sunday. He went out with two companions. Returning, tlip companions lauded, and Smith pushed out. A little later a cry was heard, and the lad’s companions, returning hurriedly, saw only the upturned boat. The body has not yet been recovered.
