LOVE & A MUSICIAN
A DUNEDIN STORY By Telegraph.—Pre>s association. Dunedin, March. 27. An unusual case in the Police Court was that in which Joseph McEvov was summoned to show cause why he. should not be bound over to keep the peace, the information alleging that he had acted offensively, by following a young lady and accosting her. Complainant’s counsel stated_ that complainant’s mother had sent her to the "defendant for music some two years ago. McEvoy told the mother of his feeling for the girl, and silo took her daughter away. For two years ho had been-following her about, waiting for her on the street, and taking trams. Ho would whistle for hours outside their house. Even 45 minutes spent in the Tudorj Restaurant did not wear out his patience. No allegation was made against his conduct as a teacher. Defendant denied following the girl, and promised to leave the girl alone. The case accordingly was adjourned for six months.
