CITY ABATTOIRS
A roturn presented to the City Council last night by the Abattoirs Committee shows an enormous decrease in the number of slieep and lambs slaughtered last month compared with February of last year, the totals being 3182 lass last month. Cows also showed a crease of 111, and calves 195; but bullocks increased by 23. The percentage of cows condemned was 10.2. The total fees (£638) were £6l less than the previous month, yrttn the exception of 17 cattle slaughtered for boning purposes, the quality of tho stock was prime.
