ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
WELLINGTON REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION. Mr B. L. Salmon presided over the annual meeting of the Wellington Referees’ Association last evening, there being about 25 members present. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr. F. O’Connell; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. R. S. Lithgow and C. F. Ward; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J." A. Leddy; representative to Wellington Football Association, Mr. G. Aers; appointment board, Messrs. J. A. Leddy nnd C. F. Ward, and one member ’to be appointed by the W.F.A.; ) examination board, Messrs. B. L. Salmon, C. E. Fordham, R. S. Lithgow, F. O’Connell, and W. G. Bryce.
THE AUSTRALIAN TOUR On Friday evening last the secretary of the New Zealand Football Association cabled to Mr. Storey, secretary of the New South Wales F.A., as follows: “Advise urgently probable date first match New Zealand tour.” li as t night a reply was received from Mr. Storey as follows: “First match probably ’May 24, earlier than anticipated.” _______
