A SAD ACCIDENT

BY TELEGRAPH—PEESS ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, March 20. A tragic accident happened at Anderson’s Bay crossing in tho city at 3.30 this afternoon, a little boy ; John Driver, aged five, being the victim. A shunter going homo from duty noticed the boy lying alongside tho railway lines, just wfithin 'the goods yards railings. The little chap had apparently been run over by some trucks which were being shunted, and had had all his limbs badly crushed. He was quite conscious and able to give his name and address. He was also able to tell how tho accident occurred. He had been riding on trucks behind the shunting engine, and one had run over him. He was removed to tho hospital, where all his limbs were amputated, but he died shortly before 11 o’clock ic-night.
