Messrs. Hansford and Mills aro just completing the steps that form the base of the Bank of New Zealand War Memorial, which has been erected in a. convenient niche opposite the main entrance to the bank, and yet within the portico. Tho memorial takes the form of a bronze honours board, erected on a heavy panel of polished grey marble (from Nelson). There is an lonic pediment about the plaita, and on either side are lonic pillars, standing out from tho panel itself. The memorial is about ten feet in height by eight feet in width.
