A.J.C. ACCEPTORS Sydney, March 20. The first acceptors for the Doncaster Handicap at the A.J.C. autumn meeting include Kick Off and Molyneaux: for the Sydney Cup, Kick Off, The Cypher, and Insurrection. —Press Assn. NOTES AND COMMENTS BY GLENCOE.

Acceptances for all first day’s events at the coming Fedcling meeting close on Friday night at 8.30.

Entries for all events at tlio autumn meeting of the Manawatu Racing Club close on Monday at 9 p.in. Owners are reminded, that entries for nil events at the autumn nie'eting of the Wellington Racing Club close on Friday next at 9 p.m. The' Bay of Plenty meeting will lie hold on the Avondale racecourse today. It should bo easily the best meeting the club has had. Big fields of class horses- are engaged in all the events, and amongst them are Surveyor, who is nicely weighted in the Cun. Alfort, who will contest the open sprint, Shellshock who is in the steeples, and who was narrowly beaten by Sen De’il at Ohinemuri, and Oranga who, will be No. 1 on the card for the Hack Hurdles.

The old established Rangitikei meeting will open at Bulls to-day, and will be concluded to-mc’-ow n-ill commence to-day with rhe Trial Plate nt 11.30 a.m._, There are one or two very speedy horses engaged, and as the distance is five fnrlones tho race may go to the quick beginners. Alabama, who was very close to Kaviitahi ”t ■'’■-n ganui. may bo able to lead the field past ths winning post.

After her good showing in tho open sprint nt Wanganui, Fleeting may be the public choice in thp Scott Memorial, but it should bo remembered that she has nearly a stone more to carry nnd will be kept nt it the whole wa.-y. A likely one amongst the tail of the field is Lmlv Kotir'no, who raced wdl in her last public appearance. nnd. Nursing Sister has also been shaping well lately, but has only filled minor places. Thev are a very poor lot in the Hack Hurdles, nnd most of them uro backward. Empyrean has been showing fair form on the flat, and if ho is rosorved for this race instead of the bracelet he should show up well. For tho Cup the chances of tho top weight Askari niav be most • fancied. His form at Dannovirko was good, and he has gone on the right way since. Hallowroz has been racing consistently in her recent starts, and she may ho the hardest for the top-weight to dispose of-

Tussore. the top weight in the Carnarvon. Hack Handicap, lias a very big weight, and he may not be able to pace it with Some Red over the first part. The turns will also hamper him. Some Red goes verv fast and can have a position all the way. Tn the Clifton Hack Welter Handl, cap Martulla. will have the services of A. Oliver who will bring him plenty of support. Atapo raced well at Marton, where he defeated a good field. On that occasion Aeriform was runner up, and he should again bo on the premises, more especially as he will have a 71b. allowance. Te Maire and First Born will have the best riders in the Bracelet, and they may bo the best backed. The* form in the Trial Plato may having a bearing in the Ngatiapa hack race as several of the runners in the opening event are also engaged in the concluding race.
