(Rec. March 16, 7.15 p.m.) New York, March 15. Rickard has announced that Firpo will box some good heavy-weight in connection with tire Johnson-lVillard bout on May 12.—Aus..N.Z. Cable Assn. The boxing bouts at Victoria College gymnasium next week are attracting much interest. Apart from the fact that the bouts are for the purpose of deciding who are to represent th® ’Varsity at the inter-college Easter tournament, there will be some good quality in the ring. A. V. McCrae, holder of the ’Varsity championship for four years, will defend the title in the heavy-weight class; V. F. Conyon, who beat Hobson at the Town Hall last Monday, will also appear, while R. Young, New Zealand University feather-weight champion, is expected to give a first-class display 1 Victoria College hopes to send a formidable team to the tournament this year.
