Their combination and head work were much superior, and in most of the spell# their ponies were ■ the more speedy. Hamish Wilson was _ a tower of strength for Rangitikei. The other Rangitikei players wefre indivfduaUiy good, but they lacked the necessary combination. The teams were:— Hawke’s Bay: 1, J. Lyons; 2, _ O. Nelson; 3, F. McKenzie; 4. E. Nairn. Rangitikei A: 1, H. Wilson; 2, R. Wilson; 3, R. L. Levin ; 4. W. Scott. In the handicap match. Te Awamuto (9) met Rangitikei B (15). The gam# ended: —Rangitikei,. 17 ; Te Awamutu, 16. The teams were: — Rangitikei B: 1, R. McKelvie; 2, K. Dalrymple; 3, R. Dalrymple; 4, R. Scott. Te Awamutu: 1. Hunter; 2, D. Kay; 3, F. Taylor; 4, W. G. Kay. Play in this match was not of #ucn a high standard as in the previous one. R. McKelvie was the best of the Rangtikei side, and Taylor the best of the To Awamutu team. N. Kay was not playing up to his usual form. The Polo Association has decided to play the 1924 Savile Chip matches at Feilding about March next.
