WANGANUI V- WELLINGTON. The visiting Wanganui bowlers played a match with the Wellington Club yesterday morning. Following are the results, the name of tho Wellington skip being mentioned first in each instance :—'Tasker 15, London 14; E. J. Hill 20, Haddon 23 ; Glendinning 12, Harkness 22; N. McLean 25, Gordon 21; Duncan 19, Keesing 17. The totals were: Wanganui 97, Wellington Club 91. The finals in the president’s and vice-president’s rinks at the Wellington Club will be played this afternoon. The match for the Friendly Bowl tritween the Christchurch and Wellington Clubs will also be played this afternoon.
The following rinks 'Will represent Khandallah against Island Bay today :—At home: Bourke, Bevin, Gilbert. Plimmer (s.); Taylor. Douglas, Mulford. Butt (s.). Away: Bennett, Lucas. Robertson, Nalder (s.) ; Billman, Hodgson, Kendall, Fletcher (s.). The annual match between combined insurance offices and representatives of the law and banks will be played at Eastbourne to-day. In the , event of wet weather, arrangements have been made for a social gathering in the pavilion. The law and banks’ representatives will be: Webb, Tanner, Allen, Hadfield. Treadwell, Barnett, Guise, Bee.-e, Liddle, Wylie, Ross, Smith. Scott, Wilkinson Robsoxi, Murra--, Bath. Watt, Moffitt, and Carey. The following will represent the 'Wellington Club against Christchurch in the “friendly howl” competition to be played to-day:—Brinsclen, Hamilton, Innes, Potter (s.); Wilson. Ledger, Magnus. Jackman (s.): Salek, Veitch, Glendinning. E. J. Hill (s.) ; Hoggard, Holdsworth (captain), Mayer, N. McLeam (s.).
