LABOUR NOMINEES MR. P. FRASER FOR MAYORALTY Official Labour selects its candidates for municipal bodies on the basis of the popular vote. That is to say, every one of the members of unions owing allegiance to the Labour Party is entitled to place on record the names of those who he thinks should represent him on the various bodies. During the past fortnight the Wellington Labour Representation Committee has been conducting a ballot to decide which names shall go forward as Labour’s nominations for the poll to be held on the last Thursday m April, in connection with the Mayoralty, the City Council, the Harbour Board and the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.
