BLACK ROCK SHOOTING CASE
CONVICTION ON MINOR CHARGE By telegraph.—press Association,. Masterton, March 16. In the case against Pakini Haeata, charged with attempted murder of James Kennck at Block Rock on February 4. No evidence was called for the defence, but counsel addressed the jury. The jury returned a vordiot of not guilty on the charge of attempted murder, and of guilty on the charge of having done actual bodily harm to Kenrick. Prisoner was remanded for sentence.
