A Bill has been introduced in the Northern Parliament revolutionising the education system in vogue for the past seventy years. The National Board is abolished and the Bill makes the county councils and county boroughs the education authority, which mav strike an education rate, a thing hitherto unknown in Ireland. The Government will pay the teachers’ salaries and the schools will be maintained by the _ rates. Provision is made for denominational instruction after school hours. March 15, 8.20 p.m.) London, March 15. The rebels have issued a proclamation that in view of the murders of prisoners of war and executions the present will be observed as a time of mourning,. and all sports and amusements suspended, and places of amusement and resort- closed.
