The Japanese Embassy announces that Jaoan has refused the Chinese request for a conference looking for the abrogation of “The Twenty-one Demands.” The Japanese Government in its refusal points out that tho Treaty was signed bv competent Chinese representatives, and is not susceptible of any changes.—Aus.-N.Z.
