EMPIRE SETTLEMENT
BRITISH DELEGATION TO AUSTRALIA London March 8. Tho Migration Delegation will leave Liverpool on March 24 and San I’rancisco in the middle of April, arriving in Sydney early in May. The delegation will visit all the big States, consulting- all the Governments and . all bodies’interested in labour, migration, and settlement. They expect to. occupy six months on the visit, returning via Vancouver. It is officially explained that thensole purpose is to find out what Australia’s views relally are, and not. to state what British migratiomsts think that Australia should do. The delegation have no proposals, and. will confine themselves to an inquiry .as to what way, if any, Australia desires to co-operate with tho Oveaseas Settlement Committee in carrying out the provisions of the Empire Settlement Act.—Aus.-N.Z.
